The Broncos apparently didn’t feel Cravens was good enough to make the team out of preseason play, but I thought he did some good things when he was out there and you could certainly do worse than this for depth.

The issue here is, the Broncos wanted Cravens to make the team as a pure safety. It doesn’t appear they had any intention of playing Cravens in the box like he was most effective with the Redskins back in 2016.

So would they re-sign him as a backup free safety and move Kareem Jackson back to cornerback?

I’m not so sure, but his familiarity with the team, the new defense, and the coaching staff could give him an advantage and could make this reunion a sensible one.
