The Denver Broncos have apparently been calling agents for available cornerbacks in light of their worries about Bryce Callahan’s foot.

The Denver Broncos are reportedly calling agents of available cornerbacks due to their concern with Bryce Callahan’s foot, according to Mike Klis of 9News in Denver.

In addition to the worry over Callahan’s foot, young Isaac Yiadom was repeatedly picked on against the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football, and didn’t look ready for a starting role in Vic Fangio’s defense.

But is a street free agent going to come in and just take his job?

Who knows?

The Broncos don’t necessarily need to panic. They brought in Duke Dawson from the New England Patriots at roster cut time and also signed Devontae Harris, a couple of young players who should get a shot if the team is going to go another direction at corner.

Denver also has De’Vante Bausby, who played exactly (checks notes) zero snaps against the Raiders, and that one doesn’t really make a lot of sense.

At any rate, if the Broncos are looking to sign cornerbacks, they should also consider signing some safeties because Kareem Jackson  an play cornerback and is undoubtedly better than what the Broncos would find out on the street right now.

Here are some players the Broncos could attempt to sign at either corner or safety to help out their depth on the back end in light of Callahan’s foot and Yiadom’s poor debut.
