Chiefs vs. Jaguars (Part Two)

Ty Walden

The season could not have started any better for the Chiefs. An AFC South opponent awaits as the first team Kansas City faces off against the Jaguars. I foresee the Chiefs getting a win in this game.

Even with a solid defense and Super Bowl 52 MVP Nick Foles on the roster, the Chiefs are too talented to not start the season 1-0.

Unless the Jaguars surprise us this season, this could get bad and fast.

The defending MVP Patrick Mahomes leads his Kansas City Chiefs into Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars.

I expect KC to continue where they left off last year, and put up some big offensive numbers.

The Chiefs’ defense is still not something to be worried about, but I see out-scoring this offense as a task too tall for the Jags. I’m taking KC in this one.

Shelby Manning

The Chiefs will have a similar look to last season, minus Kareem Hunt. Patrick Mahomes is still at the helm with his favorite target, Tyreek Hill, who was just extended.

The Chiefs are still the strong favorite to win the AFC West, and are anticipating another successful campaign. The Jaguars are a new-look team with Nick Foles now their leading man. The Jags should still boast a solid defense, but their offense is questionable at best.

My prediction: Nick Foles will be a more successful QB than his predecessor, Blake Bortles, and with the Jags looking to get even from a loss to KC last season, the game may be closer than most would think, but the Chiefs should still open their season with a win here.
