The Denver Broncos could be looking at the idea of reuniting with one of their greatest players, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.

Demaryius Thomas was a big part in Denver Broncos recent history. There’s a chance that he could continue building onto that history.

According to a source (first reported by ProFootballTalk), Demaryius Thomas back in a Denver Broncos uniform could happen.

The potential addition of Thomas would reunite him with fellow wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, among the young players in Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton. It would also mean that the team, currently carrying six wideouts, would most likely cut one of them.

If Thomas were to come back to Denver, it would allow him the opportunity to eclipse 10,000 receiving yards for his career, which would be extremely cool if he were to do that in the place where his career began.

He currently has 9,330 yards and 62 touchdowns on 688 receptions.

It would have been ideal if Thomas was around the Broncos during training camp because wherever Thomas eventually ends up, he will have to learn a new playbook and system. It is also possible, however, that he would have no problem picking up the terminology and whatever else goes into learning how things are meant to work.

Thomas was traded to the Houston Texans in the middle of the 2018 season, just before the trade deadline. He tore his Achilles late in the season and was released in mid-February.

He was then signed by the New England Patriots. In the last game of the 2019 preseason, Thomas caught seven passes for 87 yards and scored two touchdowns. Unfortunately, that was not enough for him to secure a spot on their roster.

I think a return to the Mile High City for Thomas would be ideal for both sides. He could potentially continue his phenomenal career where it all started. I am pretty sure the fans would welcome this move, as well.
