Trey Johnson did not make the final 53

With Kareem Jackson moving to the safety position, the cornerback room needed some depth. With Bryce Callahan injured throughout the preseason, the thought was that Trey Johnson would help out a room led by Chris Harris Jr.

The Broncos traded for cornerback Duke Dawson in the early going of the roster cuts. Even with him, I thought the team would go with six cornerbacks. But I suppose the trade for Dawson ended up being what cost Trey Johnson.

I think there could be a chance that Johnson ends up on the practice squad. But to see an up and coming talent miss out on the final roster is still tough to swallow.
