Tracking all the 2019 Denver Broncos roster moves
By Tylor Walden
With the Denver Broncos having to move from 87 players to 53 this season, there will be a lot of roster moves. We track each move as the team gets to 53.
Okay NFL fans. Be nice for the next few days. There will be a lot of lost jobs happening between now and Saturday afternoon as the Denver Broncos and the rest of the NFL teams make their moves to get the roster down to 53 men.
That means over 1,100 players will not have a job in the league once the final moves are completed on Saturday afternoon. There have been some moves that have been made already. While most will not come as a total surprise, it is time for us to be mindful. While there are some players who will land with other teams or on the practice squad, nothing is set in stone.
Denver got the train rolling early by releasing three players ahead of their final preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals. So, for the next day or so, there will be fewer moves that need to be made.
The Denver Broncos will be entering the new season with Vic Fangio as a first-year head coach. So, it is truly important to him to field the best 53 players that he can. But he knows how bad roster cut day is. A moment before the season that he absolutely does not like.
But that is the business of the NFL. And we must get down to it. Here, the roster moves that have been made by the Denver Broncos will be recorded. Along will be links of the source.
The Broncos must have their roster down to 53 players by 2 PM MT on Saturday.
