Linebacker

Outside Linebacker

Von Miller
Bradley Chubb
Justin Hollins
Malik Reed

Cuts: Ahmad Gooden, Dadi Nicolas

These four guys are absolutely set in stone. Ahmad Gooden showed enough to be a priority practice squad guy and he could contend for a roster spot next year or even at some point this year.

Inside Linebacker

Todd Davis
Josey Jewell
Alexander Johnson
Josh Watson
Joe Jones (IR candidate)

Cuts: Joe Dineen (IR candidate), Keishawn Bierria, Jamal Carter

If I could put Johnson, Watson, and Jones in semi-bold, I would. I am pretty sure they’re all making it, especially Jones who was the Broncos’ top reserve at linebacker.

I think Johnson is going to be their first guy ‘off the bench’ to open the season and while I don’t think Watson would get scooped up off waivers, necessarily, I think he’s proven himself valuable enough to make the team.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Keishawn Bierria or Jamal Carter on the roster in place of Watson. Carter is a converted safety who has been steadily improving at linebacker.
