Denver Broncos: Trade ideas as we approach roster cut day
Nathan Gerry, LB/ST, Philadelphia Eagles
I wrote a full article outlining why I think Gerry would be a good option for the Broncos, so definitely go and check that out when you get a chance.
The former star safety at Nebraska turned linebacker in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles hasn’t been a dominating player, but he’s an effective reserve and a core special teams guy who could help the Broncos in that regard right away.
Two of the team’s biggest weaknesses right now appear to be depth at inside linebacker along with special teams, and the Eagles have enough depth at linebacker that they could probably afford to make this trade.
Gerry also has three years of team control, so his contract is desirable in a trade.
He could be a really nice depth piece for Denver.
