After a solid Hall of Fame win, the Denver Broncos struggled in August. They were finally able to get another preseason win before the season begins.

We all know the NFL preseason is a chance for teams to figure out what they have on their roster in order to make some decisions on the best 53 players to be featured for the new season. While this preseason was a bit of a struggle for the Denver Broncos, they were finally able to play a solid game from opening kickoff to the final kneel down.

This game featured the return of Vance Joseph to the Denver area, where he served as the head coach for two seasons. He now is the defensive coordinator for the Cardinals. While there were times his defense played well, there were some struggles as well.

One of the biggest takeaways from the game on Thursday night was seeing the Broncos offense score not one, but two touchdowns in the red zone. The first one was a beautiful floater from Kevin Hogan to Fred Brown. After a long run by Khalfani Muhammad, Devontae Jackson scored the other red zone touchdown.

Denver’s defense was able to force three turnovers in the game. Two of them were forced by players who are on the roster bubble at this moment. And Denver’s run offense was able to out gain the Cardinals 124 to 53.

And it was also a fairly clean game from the Broncos. The team committed four penalties while the Cardinals were called for nine.

Now comes the difficult part. What do the Denver Broncos do with their final roster decisions? Some players made it easy, others did not. The team now has from now until Saturday afternoon to make those decisions.

But Broncos Country will get the chance to celebrate Victory Friday as now we wait until September 9th to see the team take the field again. This time, the game will count.
