The Denver Broncos have announced that the team will wear their normal home uniforms for five home games and alternative uniforms for three home games.
It is always fun to see the Denver Broncos take the field and seeing the sea of orange that covers the entire stadium of Broncos Stadium on Sunday afternoons. While the crowd color will likely not change, the players on the field will see some alternative colors three times this season.
The Broncos have announced that for three of their home games this season, the team will wear alternative jerseys. During week six against the Tennessee Titans and week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Broncos will wear their navy blue jerseys. And for their week 16 game against the Detroit Lions, the team will wear their all orange color rush uniforms.
This season will mark the third time in five years that the Broncos have worn their alternative blue jerseys for a divisional opponent. In 2015, the Oakland Raiders got to see the blue alternatives where the Kansas City Chiefs saw them on a Monday night football game in 2018.
2019 will also mark the second straight year the Broncos will wear their color rush uniforms at home after spending the first two seasons of its existence on the road.
It makes sense for the Broncos to wear the blue alternatives for their game against the Titans because of all that is going on that weekend. Denver will be honoring Champ Bailey and Pat Bowlen for that game on October 13th. With the connection both men have on the team, I can completely understand it.
Denver wore all blue uniforms in 2015 for the Green Bay Packers game when Pat Bowlen was enshrined in the Broncos Ring of Fame.
It is always fun for the Broncos to mix things up when they have their home games. Hopefully the team will have some luck with new uniforms in 2019.
