RB: Phillip Lindsay, Royce Freeman, Devontae Booker, Khalfani Muhammad, Dave Williams, Devontae Jackson, Theo Riddick (7)
Fullbacks: Andy Janovich, George Aston, Orson Charles (3)

Despite his undrafted status in 2018, Phillip Lindsay occupies the starting role in the Broncos’ backfield. It is expected that Freeman will get more touches than he did last year, but I still feel like Lindsay will have more of an impact.

Khalfani Muhammad is a nice surprise the Denver Broncos acquired this year. He has the ability to do a lot of damage with the use of his speed.

Theo Riddick had a really good shot at making the roster if he didn’t get injured. Unfortunately, he did and he may go on injured reserve/return.

Teams do not usually have a ton of running backs, despite the high chance of them getting injured because of the amount of hits they take. They very well could keep one or two on the practice squad, but I expect the Broncos to go into the 2019 regular season with three.

The battle between Aston and Charles is something that is not talked about much.

With Andy Janovich out for a significant amount of time, it’s fair to wonder whether or not he will stay on the roster or if the team places him on injured reserve. I think he will be placed on IR, especially if whoever the team picks to replace him does well.

I feel like Orson Charles has the upper hand over Aston because of his experience in the league. Charles can also play at tight end, which could be a key factor in the decision. Head coach Vic Fangio likes players that can play multiple positions.

See: Offensive line.

Prediction: Phillip Lindsay, Royce Freeman, Khalfani Muhammad, Theo Riddick, Orson Charles. (5)

IR: Andy Janovich

Cut: George Aston, Devontae Booker, Dave Williams, Devontae Jackson.
