With very few roster spots to be claimed, how many players will the Denver Broncos decide to keep at each position in some of the key spots in 2019?

Most of the roster spots on the Denver Broncos are locked in. At this point in the season, that is expected for every NFL team.

What is not locked in is the number of players the team will keep at each position. Some positions will have three or four players. Some may have two. For the offensive and defensive line, it is quite a bit more.

By the date of the roster cutdown from 90 players to 53, a lot of these players will be without a job, but with the opportunity to catch on with another team.

The big question for the Demver Broncos is how many players they want to keep at each position. It all depends on how they play throughout the preseason. Will someone make a couple of big plays to secure a spot.

There will be plenty of cuts at certain positions for the Denver Broncos. For example, the team is not keeping seven running backs or twelve wide receivers. It is expected that six or seven wideouts will be let go.

Another option is that some of these players will catch on with the Broncos’ practice squad.

Teams now have the ability to place two players on injured reserve and call them back to the active roster. The Broncos may very well do that this season.

Here is a roster breakdown with adjustments I can see the Broncos making.
