Patrik Walker of CBS Sports came up with several bold predictions for the Denver Broncos in 2019, including Bradley Chubb heading to his first Pro Bowl.

Bradley Chubb and Von Miller, a deadly combination for opposing offenses that the Denver Broncos face. Both of these players combined for 26.5 sacks during the 2018 regular season, which is fantastic.

Patrik Walker of CBS Sports predicts that Chubb will make his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2019 than he was as a rookie in 2018, and I believe it.

After Walker’s prediction of Von Miller challenging for the single-season sack record, he follows it up by going with his prediction for Bradley Chubb:

"“And much like Chubb helps Miller, Miller helps Chubb — in a one-hand-washes-the-other fashion — setting the former first-round pick up for a strong follow-up to his breakout rookie year. Chubb burst out of the gate with 12.5 sacks in 2018, and his preseason play hints at there being no 2019 downturn. Despite his first-year success, Chubb was not named to the Pro Bowl nor did he land so much as a second-team All-Pro nod, despite logging the same number of QB takedowns as Khalil Mack. Now, to be clear here, no one’s saying Chubb is equivalent to Mack just yet, but if he believes he already is — then opposing offenses better watch out.”(via CBS Sports)"

It is truly amazing (in an unfortunate way, of course), that Chubb was not sent to the Pro Bowl after his 12.5 sack season as a rookie. I guess it just goes to show that there are a ton of phenomenal players across the league.

The Denver Broncos seem to have some players in this year’s defense that will step up. Some were in Denver last season (DeMarcus Walker) and some are new to the team but have shown a lot of effort and talent in limited preseason action (Malik Reed).

Of course, Pro Bowl voting is pretty flawed, if I’m being honest. It is basically a popularity contest. Some players are more than deserving and get voted in, while some are just voted in because of what they have done in the past, and not necessarily what they did that year.

I believe that Chubb is, in fact, going to make his first Pro Bowl appearnce because of what he is about to do in Vic Fangio’s defense. He has played the role of Khalil Mack in practice this training camp. Of course, Mack recorded 12.5 sacks in 2018–just half a sack more than Chubb.

This is a phenomenal prediction, if I do say so myself and I fully agree with it.
