The Denver Broncos have placed TE Bug Howard and CB Horace Richardson on IR, signing linebacker Dadi Nicolas and offensive tackle Tyler Jones.

Injuries continue to take a toll on the Denver Broncos. Per Ryan O’Halloran, the team has placed tight end Bug Howard and cornerback Horace Richardson on injured reserve. They will miss the entire 2019 season.

Howard suffered an ankle injury while Richardson is dealing with back and hamstring issues. Howard becomes the second tight end (Austin Fort) the Broncos placed on injured reserve so far, with a couple of weeks left until the regular season begins.

Richardson had an impressive game in the slot cornerback position against the Atlanta Falcons in the Hall of Fame game to start out the 2019 preseason.

The Broncos are also working out cornerback Josh Miller. In three seasons at Ball State University, Miller played 33 games. He made 101 solo tackles (131 overall), four interceptions, defended 27 passes, and forced one fumble.

He returned two kicks for a total of 30 yards in his three collegiate seasons.

If the Denver Broncos do sign Miller, he would be placed on special teams. The Broncos’ special teams unit has been awful in the return game so far this preseason.

It has been so bad that head coach Vic Fangio suggested the possibility of the Broncos using starters on the unit. That would not be ideal at all. But it just goes to show how bad they have been and Fangio continuing to not shy away from being completely honest.

Miller’s 40-yard dash time is around 4.42 and 4.52. That is blazing fast. That is something the team could certainly use. Along with his 101 career tackles, he may just end up being a diamond in the rough.

The Broncos also claimed two players off waivers on Wednesday. Joining the team are offensive tackle Tyler Jones and linebacker Dadi Nicholas. Jones is formerly of the New York Jets, while Nicholas is a former Indianapolis Colt

There are still two preseason games remaining before we kickoff the 2019 NFL regular season. There are a lot of questions to be answered in regards to the Denver Broncos and the team hopes to solve those questions early on.
