Sean Lee, Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have a pretty good thing going defensively, and Sean Lee is obviously a huge part of that when healthy, but with just one year on his contract and the duo of Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch fully capable of holding down the fort, could Lee be on the block?

For the right price, pretty much anyone is available these days.

The Broncos would have to entice the Cowboys and give them something they would actually want in return here, but the reason I bring up Lee is twofold.

First of all, he’s in the last year of a contract. Second, that contract is reasonable to acquire in a trade. It would cost the Broncos about $3.5 million in cap space to acquire a play like Lee.

If he could stay healthy, Lee would be a great player for either the Cowboys or the Broncos to have.

If the Cowboys don’t want to trade Lee, perhaps the Broncos could talk them into trading Joe Thomas. Thomas is a top reserve for the Cowboys at linebacker and has just around a $2.24 million cap hit this season. He could provide depth for Denver.
