Monday night’s victory was a night to remember for Denver Broncos second-year outside linebacker Bradley Chubb.

The Denver Broncos have a real star in outside linebacker Bradley Chubb. The second-year pro had a great game against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday in the Broncos’ third preseason game.

Chubb got pressure on 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to force an interception to cornerback Isaac Yiadom in the first quarter. Then, early in the second quarter, Chubb pulled off a filthy move on 49ers left tackle Justin Skule.

The result? A strip-sack, recovered by the Broncos.

Chubb credits fellow pass rush specialist Von Miller for helping him get that strip-sack.

This goes to show that Miller has no problem giving tips to his teammates (there’s no reason why he shouldn’t). It also shows how fast Chubb learned that specific move and was able to master it in just two days.

That’s a clear sign of a dominant player. There seems to be no way to stop the Broncos’ outside linebackers. I believe that Denver’s opponents are in for a long day, week in and week out, as long as those two key defensive players stay healthy.

Chubb has had some great help early on in his career. Last season, he not only had Miller to help him out; he also had future Hall of Fame outside linebacker and former Denver Bronco DeMarcus Ware, who the Broncos hired as a pass-rush consultant in 2018, teaching him some new tricks.

It would have been awesome to see how much more Ware could have taught Chubb, but it does not appear that Ware will be back with the Denver Broncos in that same role.

Despite that, however, Chubb’s ceiling appears to be extremely high and I do not expect any team to be able to slow him down anytime soon. With Von Miller just 30-years old, the Chubb-Miller combo should be deadly for years and years to come.

Look out, NFL.
