Emmanuel Sanders

Red alert — Emmanuel Sanders is playing in a football game.

The Broncos’ star wide receiver has not played in a game since last December with an Achilles injury, but he’s ahead of schedule and will play against the 49ers.

Sanders’ inclusion in the offense is hugely important, and we saw the evidence of that last year. When Sanders was in the lineup, the Broncos’ offense was making a lot of really explosive plays. Sanders not only was the team’s clear number one receiver last year, he also had a touchdown run against the Ravens and a touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton against the Cardinals.

Sanders is dynamic. He says he feels stronger and better:

I doubt we will see a ton from Sanders, but it would be great to see what having his speed at wide receiver does to change the entire look of the offense.

Sanders being on the field means we will have a full complement of starting players for the Broncos in this game at the skill positions, and we will get a look at their entire number one offense (on paper) for the first time if Ronald Leary plays at right guard.
