There is not a lot of expectations for the Denver Broncos for 2019 with all the changes. But there is one former quarterback who thinks Denver can go far.

There have been plenty of analysis out there that have not given the Denver Broncos much of a chance to do a lot in 2019. I cannot even begin to count how many times I have seen 5-11 or 4-12. I have even seen 2-14. Completely ridiculous. Very hard to believe the Broncos are going to be that bad.

Where there are negatives, some have provided some positives for the Denver Broncos. One in particular comes from former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

He joined Mad Dog Sports Radio host Adam Schein on Thursday to give his thoughts on which team from the AFC can surprise in 2019. And sure enough, he says the Broncos have the best chance.

Romo mentions that the Denver Broncos are in a tough division, but with Vic Fangio as head coach and Joe Flacco as their quarterback, the team can go far. If you want to listen to his segment on the Broncos, it is available here.

It is refreshing to see the Denver Broncos get some credit. While it remains to be seen how this team will perform once the regular season begins, there is some belief that this could be true.

The Denver Broncos are in a tough division, but a few wins here and there and Denver could very well see themselves in the playoffs. It is going to take some wins that Denver should get and a few games that they win that no one gives them a chance.

I am liking the optimism that Tony Romo has given the Denver Broncos. Hopefully, it does come to fruition. For now, I will take the dark horse card with a grain of salt. But he certainly will look like a genius if this comes to be true at the end of the season.
