Denver Broncos: Undrafted players with the best shot at making the team
Malik Reed, outside linebacker
Nobody who’s been following since the 2019 NFL Draft is surprised at the emergence of Malik Reed. When asked Reed has done so far to impress head coach Vic Fangio, Fangio simply responded by saying, “Played good.”
The coach is such a master with words.
Fangio went on to describe how Reed has ‘played good’ by saying that the rookie ‘likes to hit people’ and he’s been impressed by his instincts and feel for the game.
Though Reed played some inside linebacker and really all over the formation at Nevada, he seems to have found a ‘home’ off the edge in Denver.
Right now, it would be an absolute shock if Reed didn’t make the roster. He’s put together a great offseason and has two strong games already in the preseason. He is pressuring the opposing QB at a high rate and is closing some plays with sacks like this one:

Burst, bend, ability to finish — it’s all there for Reed.
