Cornerback Chris Harris has been a mark of consistency since being a member of the Denver Broncos back in 2011. He can now take his game to new heights.

Chris Harris Jr., the star cornerback and former undrafted rookie from Kansas continues to show the world how to take advantage of an opportunity.

An opportunity is a chance. It is a chance to show a team and the entire National Football League that the player belongs.

Harris was brought in by Pat Bowlen (Mr. B) and has made the most of the chance he was given by an NFL legend.

Harris attended the Hall of Fame induction ceremony for friend and mentor Champ Bailey as well as the late Mr. B. The new Hall of Fame inductee was a model of consistency. This is something all Hall of Famers have in addition to their own talent.

When Bailey was with the Broncos, he mentored Harris just as Darrell Green and Deion Sanders did for him in Washington. Bailey, himself, has said Harris has been a model of consistency since joining the Denver Broncos. It is really easy to see why.

This type of model is one Harris modeled after Bailey. Harris worked his way to the top of the defensive back chain in the NFL. He became one of the hardest workers to get to where he is now.

Such diligence in the film room and playbook has led to similarities in both Bailey and Harris’ game. While Bailey is widely regarded as the best cornerback in team history, Harris has close to the same work habits as him. Harris learned the art of tackling initially seeing Bailey play the position. This is a non-negotiable trait for a defensive back. It happens to be Harris’ bread and butter.

The other is the versatility. Harris started out in the nickel formation being a slot cornerback, but lately, he is proving the worth beyond that position. He became one of the best shutdown corners in the National Football League. Despite all of that, Harris is consistently forgotten by the national media. This never stopped him from becoming an absolute beast in the secondary.

With Harris being present for the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, he’s motivated to take his game to new heights after seeing Bailey’s speech.

Do not be surprised if we see the best Harris yet under Vic Fangio. Harris has spoken openly regarding the defense and that it fits his abilities. One of the other arts Harris learned from Bailey is to read and react.

Fangio’s zone defense allows for a lot of players to be put in a position to succeed.
