Denver Broncos roster risers and fallers after Seahawks game
Faller(s): Backup offensive linemen
It’s hard to find good help on the offensive line in today’s NFL, and the Denver Broncos are living proof of that.
The Broncos’ starting offensive line looks fine, and in fact, made a really nice play on the big run by Royce Freeman, but the backup offensive lines struggled to help the offense get anything going.
The Broncos need guys who can do their part.
Austin Schlottmann, a backup center, struggled to snap the ball accurately to the quarterback. The tackles could not handle guys on the edge and the Seahawks eliminated the run almost completely from the Broncos’ offensive play-calling sheet.
It was just an ugly all-around performance for the offensive linemen who came in after the starters, though no one, in particular, stands out as hilariously bad.
The Broncos are obviously working on developing this group, so hopefully, we will see some better, stronger, more consistent play over the course of the preseason. These guys have to be able to win a few in the trenches, right?
