Riser: Nick Williams, wide receiver

Battling with: Brendan Langley, Fred Brown, Kelvin McKnight, Trinity Benson

With some injuries popping up at receiver during training camp, the Broncos brought in Nick Williams who has familiarity with Rich Scangarello’s offense, at least a few iterations of it throughout his previous six seasons in the NFL.

Williams’ experience in this type of offense and ability to play the slot well has turned into a decent chance of making the Broncos’ 53-man roster.

Williams had one reception in this game, but it was a nice catch and run coming across the field from left to right and he also has proven he is a natural punt catcher.

Although his ascent has been modest, Williams is doing the little things well and making plays in his limited chances.

I like what I’ve seen from this guy.
