Denver Broncos: Players with the most at stake vs. Seattle
One of the more underrated battles happening on the Broncos’ roster right now is the battle for a fifth cornerback spot.
Denver’s top four cornerback slots look pretty well set with Chris Harris Jr., Bryce Callahan, Isaac Yiadom, and De’Vante Bausby. But who do they have beyond that?
A couple of players really stood out in the last game as options.
One of those players is Trey Johnson, who had three pass breakups including the game’s only interception.
Another one of those players is Horace Richardson, who was doing some really nice work out of the slot and attacking the line of scrimmage with five solo tackles and two tackles for loss.
Richardson is entering his third season in the NFL and has elite athleticism and size. He joined the Broncos late last year and has a chance to stick under this new regime. He’s currently listed as the fifth corner on the team’s depth chart.
Could he make the roster as CB5? If he can continue a strong offseason with a good game against the Seattle Seahawks, it’s possible.
