In all honesty, it doesn’t feel like the pressure is overly high for the Broncos’ offensive linemen right now as it relates to position battles or roster battles.

The Broncos’ offensive line depth is, well, it’s not great. They don’t have a lot of experience behind the guys who are starting, and some of the guys who are starting have been struggling with injuries.

One player I would love to see step up is second-year player Sam Jones, who is currently working as the number two left guard.

Jones was a sixth-round pick out of Arizona State last year, and the team liked him enough to carry him on the active roster all year without much of a second thought about it.

Jones isn’t going to beat Dalton Risner for a starting gig, but he could beat Don Barclay for the top reserve OG gig. The Broncos also need someone to establish themselves as a backup center.
