Who will separate themselves at running back?

In the game against the Falcons, only three of the team’s running backs ran the football. Khalfani Muhammad was the most effective back. He ran seven times for 50 yards and a touchdown. He also caught the most passes of any Broncos player, with four receptions.

He definitely made his case to make the roster, if the preseason was just one game. However, it is not and he will have to continue proving himself.

A guy on the roster bubble is Devontae Booker. He is basically just a one-trick runner and is not very exciting. He does not do much to stand out among the group.

Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman will make the team. I believe that the team’s newest runner—Theo Riddick—will have a strong game and make the team. The Broncos brought him in because of his receiving skills. We should see plenty of action from him, not only on Thursday but throughout the entire 2019 season.

The other running backs on the roster are Devontae Jackson and Dave Williams.
