Steve Atwater

One of the hardest hitting safeties of all time and he has yet to find himself into the Pro Football Hall of Fame? That is absolute blasphemy. He has been close lately though.

Next. Observations and Reactions to Broncos win over Falcons. dark

Steve Atwater was a finalist for this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement. However, he was not selected. I have a strong hunch that he will be in soon. Hopefully it will be next year, but only time will tell.

Whenever Steve Atwater was on the field, you had to brace yourself for impact. The guy hits like an 18 wheel semi truck. It is almost surprising to see players able to stand up after absorbing a blow from The Smilin’ Assassin.

A two time Super Bowl champion, there will come a day where the hard work of Steve Atwater will be recognized with an induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Someday Broncos Country. Someday.
