The Denver Broncos completed the first preseason game of the 2019 season with a solid come from behind win over the Falcons. Here is what stood out to me.

We are so excited to finally say that Denver Broncos football is back. It is even sweeter with a win in the first preseason game in 2019. It took a two minute drive from Brett Rypien in the fourth quarter, but the Broncos were able to complete the comeback.

There were plenty of Broncos players that performed well in the Hall of Fame game. Some plays were a bit questionable. And of course, there are some plays that need to be cleaned up. Overall though, it was a solid game from the Broncos.

Kevin Hogan was one player that I was keeping my eye on and he had a pretty solid outing. He recorded five completions out of eight attempts. Not too bad. Drew Lock struggled a bit, but I am giving a pass to some rookie jitters.

Lock can surely throw the deep ball. The only thing that needs to be worked on is the accuracy.

Brett Rypien was able to help lead a two minute drive and helped score despite a somewhat rough game. But there is no doubt that he can get better.

Some of the players on defense that stood out to me were Malik Reed, Dre’Mont Jones, and Trey Johnson. On offense, Khalfani Muhammad made a strong case of staying on the roster despite the news that broke of Theo Riddick signing with Denver in the next couple days.

dark. Next. Broncos players to keep an eye on for Hall of Fame game

Juwann Winfree was able to record the game winning touchdown during the two minute drill with quite the heads up play.

Overall, it was a well played game. There are some areas that need some improvement. But otherwise, the game was a good one from the Denver Broncos.

The team will travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks next week. Broncos football is back!
