Mike Daniels

It was a shocker when Packers DL Mike Daniels was released. According to Packers GM Brian Gutekunst, they were unsuccessful in their efforts to find a trade partner for him.

Daniels may be recovering from a foot injury and be 30 years old, but he would be another possible short term guy that would make sense for the Broncos. It is always a plus when you can bring in veterans to work with your younger guys. Daniels would be good competition for guys like Adam Gotsis and Zach Kerr. Although we saw flashes of brilliance in Gotsis in 2018, a little competition is always good to light a fire under a player.

A guy like Mike Daniels would also thrive working with a defensive minded guy like Vic Fangio. Daniels would be another guy who brings in experience and leadership, and would pair well alongside fellow veteran Derek Wolfe.

Plus, how stacked would this defensive line be if Mike Daniels were to be brought in? He is not necessarily a need, but he should definitely be a want. Elway should see if he can make this happen.

However, Daniels already has a visit scheduled with the Browns, so if the Broncos want him, they must act quickly.
