Denver Broncos get some good news on DaeSean Hamilton injury
The Denver Broncos haven’t had the best luck with injuries so far in training camp, but they got a good update in regards to DaeSean Hamilton.
The Denver Broncos have not had the greatest injury news so far in training camp, although bumps and bruises are to be expected along the way.
Wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton went down with a hamstring injury on day six of training camp and everyone knows how annoying and difficult those injuries can be.
According to Vic Fangio, the injury to Hamilton wasn’t serious, and it will be of the ‘short rather than long’ variety.
Finally, a bit of good news on the injury front.
Hamilton missed time in his rookie season with a sprained MCL in his knee. That injury limited what could have otherwise been a very strong second half of the season for the former Penn State star.
This offseason, with Emmanuel Sanders slowly making his way back from an Achilles injury, Hamilton has been taking the lion’s share of first-team reps with Courtland Sutton at the receiver position.
He has flashed his incredible foot quickness and route-running ability in practice, but a hamstring injury is one thing that can completely derail a player like Hamilton.
The Broncos will need to proceed cautiously with Hamilton, but he still has plenty to prove. As talented as Hamilton is, it’s easy to forget he was a fourth-round pick a season ago. Despite his talent, Hamilton has a lot to show everyone with what he can do on the field on a more consistent basis.
The Broncos will likely try to ease him back into the lineup and proceed with caution, but it’s good that Hamilton isn’t going to need extended time to recover from this injury.
