Juwann Winfree, WR

Juwann Winfree is impressing just about everybody so far through five days of camp, and he’s only practiced in four of those days.

I was shocked on the first day of camp to see no. 15 catch the first pass of the Broncos’ very first 11-on-11 team period, but Winfree was the one setting the tone and making a big play as camp opened up against the Broncos’ number one secondary.

Chris Harris Jr., still not calling Winfree by name, had some great things to say about him, which you can read in Cameron Parker’s post here.

Winfree is making acrobatic catches, running great routes, making contested catches, and really just impressing all around. He’s establishing that not only is he a clear WR4 candidate for the roster, but he’s also going to have to be included in the weekly game plan.

Winfree has been a stud, and it’s easy to see now why the Broncos traded up for him despite not having great collegiate production due to injuries. He’s a stud.
