3. Josey Jewell

Broncos fans were impressed with what they saw in Josey Jewell’s 2018 performance.

Now that Brandon Marshall has departed, Jewell will be stepping into his role on the field. We know that Marshall was quite the leader (both off and on the field) and his presence will be missed. However, Elway’s decision to allow Marshall to leave shows that he and the coaching staff have faith that Jewell is ready to take on the task.

It is important that Jewell be up to the challenge, as the linebacking corp has weakened greatly in the offseason.

With Todd Davis’s immediate injury at the beginning of camp, eyes will now be on Jewell to impress. The linebackers need a leader, and I think we will see this season that Josey Jewell is ready to take over.
