Linebacker: Josh Watson

The Broncos are not being shy about including undrafted players in with their first-team offense and defense.

Watson has been getting some extended looks at the inside linebacker position with the number one unit after Alexander Johnson was the first to replace the injured Todd Davis in practice.

Vic Fangio said of Watson, “I like him. We’ll see how far he can go,” but also noted that Watson is a rookie and needs to learn to be an NFL linebacker.

The challenge has been met with a couple of days of what sounds like really strong play in practice.

Watson was one of the Broncos’ top UDFAs when they signed this year’s crop, in my opinion, and I would love to see him get a start in the Hall of Fame game to show what he can do.
