Running back: Khalfani Muhammad

The Broncos’ offense certainly doesn’t have an over-abundance of speed. Phillip Lindsay is obviously exceptionally fast, and Emmanuel Sanders can still put on the jets even after an Achilles injury.

Other than those two guys, what players on the Broncos’ offense are burners? Noah Fant could probably be added into that mix now, but no one else on Denver’s offense is known for their big-time speed.

Muhammad has elite speed and has brought it to the table so far in camp, consistently taking advantage of his reps as a runner and receiver, including a remarkable catch over the top of linebacker Alexander Johnson on day two of camp.

Muhammad will have to beat out Devontae Booker for a spot on the Broncos’ roster, and the Broncos might be looking for someone to take Booker’s spot. Booker probably should be on a team where he can get more reps, and Muhammad offers a bit more explosiveness off the bench if the Broncos need it.

I’ll be fascinated to see how he does in the preseason games.
