Battle: Su’a Cravens vs. the field
Getting a little crafty at this battle, I honestly believe that Su’a Cravens is up against not only the field but himself as well. After his dream to become a Denver Bronco became a reality, he spent half the season on injured reserve with knee soreness. When he was on the field, he was not as productive as we all hoped.
In fact, he spent the last few games of the season on the inactive list. Lots of rumors went around that he was in Vance Joseph’s doghouse at the end of the season, but it is likely clear as to why that was the case.
Vic Fangio made it perfectly clear that if Su’a Cravens is to make the final roster, he will need to do so as a safety so that he can play as a hybrid linebacker as well. And in my honest opinion, the only player that can defeat Cravens is himself. He has such a high ceiling. However, it all comes down to if he is willing to put in the work.
If he can conquer his own demons on the football field, he can likely separate himself from the other safeties on the roster. I know he can. He just needs to show it.
