What can we expect from the tight ends?

Answered by: Ty Walden

From a talent standpoint, the Denver Broncos have quite an interesting tight end room.

The four biggest names in that unit are all players that the Denver Broncos have drafted over the last few years. Jeff Heuerman, Jake Butt, Troy Fumagalli, and Noah Fant will likely lead the unit in 2019.

As far as expectations, we are not entirely sure what they can be capable of. It will certainly help that Joe Flacco is the quarterback of the team. The former Baltimore Ravens quarterback has a knack of throwing to tight ends quite often. He built quite a bit of chemistry between himself and the tight ends.

I believe the biggest receiving threats at tight end as we approach training camp are Jeff Heuerman and Noah Fant.

Troy Fumagalli did not play at all last year, so it remains to be seen what he can do. And Jake Butt has only played three games in the two years he has been at Denver because of his ACL injuries.

If there was one player I expect to take a leap, it will be Jake Butt. But to make an impact on the team, he will need to stay healthy, something that Broncos Country is really hoping happens in 2019.
