How many sacks will Von Miller and Bradley Chubb have combined in 2019?

Answered by: Graham Tiedtke

The Denver Broncos struck gold in the 2018 NFL draft when outside linebacker Bradley Chubb fell to them at the fifth overall pick. Many expected Denzel Ward to be there but the Cleveland Browns took Ward one pick earlier.

Good news for the Broncos. Chubb finished the 2018 season with twelve sacks.

Von Miller, as dynamic as always, recorded 14.5 sacks, which marked the seventh time in eight seasons in the league where he registered ten or more sacks in a season.

I personally believe Chubb and Miller will continue this trend of pass rushing skills and be an even better duo in their second season sharing the same field.

I don’t expect Miller to lose a step despite getting older (well, he’s only 30). He definitely did not show signs of slowing down last year when he broke the team’s career record for sacks.

My prediction? Miller is going to break Michael Strahan’s single-season sack record of 22.5. Along with Chubb’s potential improvement, I can see the Denver Broncos having 35 sacks from just those two players alone.

They do have defensive mastermind Vic Fangio leading them, after all.
