2. Elite pass rush

I’m of the opinion that you can’t win in the NFL today without an elite pass rush.

When the Broncos had the best pass rush in the NFL back in 2015, I don’t think I’m alone when I say I had more confidence the defense was going to take the ball away compared to the offense actually scoring when they had the ball.

Denver’s pass rush was special that year, and they didn’t even get a fully healthy season from DeMarcus Ware.

The Broncos’ pass rush in 2019 will obviously feature Von Miller and Bradley Chubb, but Denver’s overall mix of guys this year could be, again, the best they have had since the 2015 season.

Not to mention, Vic Fangio’s defenses have been very good at getting to the quarterback and creating a lot of turnovers as a result.

I think the Broncos have an elite pass rush which will lead to more takeaways which will ultimately lead to more wins. The Broncos could be one of the top teams in the NFL in turnover differential this year and the pass rush will be a key reason why.
