RB2: Phillip Lindsay, Denver Broncos

Another player who made a fast impact for his team, Lindsay became the workhorse running back for the Denver Broncos and topped 1,000 yards as an undrafted rookie out of Colorado.

He first made his name known during training camp in 2018 and extended the list of years the Broncos had an undrafted free agent make the final 53-man roster.

He averaged 5.4 yards per carry (1,037 yards on 192 attempts) and eight runs of 20+ yards, including three of 40+ yards.

Along with Emmanuel Sanders, Lindsay was the biggest offensive threat the Broncos had in 2018.
Lindsay is extremely elusive and despite his size (5,8”, 190 lbs), he should continue making a lot of plays for the Broncos for years to come. Despite being unable to play in the Pro Bowl, he was still voted to go and with the help of the NFL, made the trip happen.

There has been chatter that due to his build, he may lose some carries to Royce Freeman to provide longevity throughout the 2019 season but that should end up being a good thing for him. He can stay fresh. It might even make him better.

The Broncos found a gem when they invited Lindsay to tryout for the team last year and hopefully he will continue proving that he maybe should have been drafted. He wears Terrell Davis’ No. 30 well!
