Denver Broncos 2019 roster overview: Wide Receiver
By Tylor Walden
The Rest
Aaron Burbridge (Age: 25)
Burbridge spent a few seasons with the San Francisco 49ers after playing his college ball at Michigan State. Most of his time has been spent either on the practice squad or he has been hurt. This could just be a camp body to help put together the best wide receiving corps for the team.
Fred Brown (Age: 25)
Brown was originally an undrafted free agent pick up for the Indianapolis Colts. He spent some of the 2017 season on their practice squad before signing a future’s deal with the Los Angeles Rams and waived during final cuts. He has been out of football for a year. Brown could be another camp body for the team.
Trinity Benson (Age: 22)
Coming from a small school in Oklahoma, Trinity Benson was one of the Denver Broncos’ undrafted free agent pickups this offseason. He recorded 1,700 receiving yards during his college career. His big goal for the Broncos is to be the returner. He is hoping to make the most of his abilities. We will get to see if he can truly shine as a returner.
Romell Guerrier (Age:22)
Another undrafted free agent pickup, Romell Guerrier is another football player coming from a small school. He spent most of his college career at Florida Tech. He could very well be a camp body, but I would not be surprised if he landed on the practice squad for the Broncos in 2019.
Kelvin McKnight (Age: 22)
Kelvin McKnight comes from the small school of Samford. However, he is one of the many wide receivers who could battle out for a returning job. McKnight has some amazing speed that could really come in handy for the return game and even on offense as a slot receiver. Denver could utilize some gadget plays that involve him if he were to make the final roster. I had him as one of my undrafted free agents that could make the final roster. He could be the next undrafted guy to make a splash in Denver.
