Dalton Risner

Age: 23
2019 salary cap hit: $1.224 million (estimated based on draft slot)
Years under contract: 4 (after signing rookie deal)

The Broncos — at the time of this writing — have yet to sign Dalton Risner to his rookie contract, but that’s merely a formality as those contracts (and all rookie contracts under this CBA) are slotted.

When Risner’s contract gets sorted out, there will be nothing standing between he and a phenomenal rookie season.

As a matter of fact, I foresee Risner being the Broncos’ most valuable rookie in 2019, even potentially ahead of Noah Fant because of the fact that he will only be — at best — the third or fourth highest targeted player in the offense.

Risner will make an impact on every snap.

He’s one of the more NFL-ready linemen I have scouted coming out of college and it speaks to his versatility that the coaching staff felt they could plug him in at left guard immediately upon arrival when he has played right tackle the last couple of years in college.

Risner already has the feel of a veteran player and my trust for him is borderline irrational. I think he’s going to be great.
