Connor McGovern

Age: 26
2019 salary cap hit: $2.09 million
Years under contract: 1

The Broncos have entrusted Connor McGovern with a full-time role at the center position and not out of in-season necessity.

This won’t be McGovern’s first offseason working at the center position, but it will be the first offseason he’s worked at center with the expectation of being the opening day starter at that position.

Last season, McGovern was benched by the Broncos’ coaching staff after a really strong start to the season was followed by some struggles.

He is as strong of a player as you will find in the NFL but can he anchor the Broncos’ offensive line over the course of a full season?

This is a huge year for McGovern, who is out to prove he’s worthy of a long-term contract in the NFL.

If he can get more consistent in his pass protection, he will get that new deal.
