Jamal Carter

Age: 25

2019 Salary Cap hit: $573K

Years under contract: 1

There was a lot of promise for Denver Broncos safety Jamal Carter coming into the 2018 season. He was the 13th player in 14 years to be added to the final 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent. It just seemed as if he could be that special teams player and spot player on defense. A lot, I believe, was going well for him.

Unfortunately, 2018 saw him miss the entire year. He suffered a torn hamstring in the first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings and was placed on injured reserve after the weekend.

With an entire season to rehab from the hamstring injury, Jamal Carter appears ready to take on the new challenges of a new coaching staff in 2019. I believe he will pick up right where he left off and get things going in the new season.
