Justin Simmons

Age: 25

2019 Salary Cap hit: $2.2 million

Years under contract: 1

2019 will be the final year of Justin Simmons’ rookie contract. Wow, does time fly. Feels like the Denver Broncos just drafted him yesterday. There is no doubt that he has performed well since he arrived.

In his three seasons with the Denver Broncos, he has recorded seven interceptions and one touchdown. He also has recorded a few blocked kicks. One of which, in New Orleans, was returned by Will Parks for the go-ahead two point conversion. It always seems like when the team needs a huge play on special teams, Justin Simmons has risen to the task.

As long as he can produce at a high level in 2019, there is no doubt that he will be given a new contract to prevent him from hitting the open market. I would not even be surprised if he was given a contract extension during the 2019 season.

Justin Simmons can help reform the No Fly Zone. He truly has the talent to do so.
