Garett Bolles

Age: 27
2019 salary cap hit: $4.55 million
Years under contract: 2 (3 with team option)

The Denver Broncos drafted the mean and athletic Bolles to be their franchise left tackle in the 2017 NFL Draft, and his career to this point has been a mixed bag of both good and bad.

To say the least.

Bolles has had some very frustrating moments with the Denver Broncos, namely his inability to keep flags off the field with his play.

The Broncos have been looking for more consistency in technique and less sloppy play from Bolles, and they finally got to see some of that in the second half of the 2018 season.

Some were calling for Bolles to be benched last year, which is a preposterous thing to suggest given the fact that there are/were no viable alternatives and Bolles has to earn his lumps out there just like every other young player.

The clock is ticking though. Bolles was an older rookie coming in and is 27 this year. With Mike Munchak helping to correct his on-field mistakes, could we see the former first-round pick take the biggest leap of his career?

We know Bolles can be a mauler and get out in space in the running game, but can he use that athleticism to play clean football in pass protection?

He has no choice, or he might be a candidate to be replaced after this season.
