Denver Broncos: Don’t forget about WR Tim Patrick
Wide receiver Tim Patrick should be very important for the Denver Broncos in 2019. Do not forget about him.
The Denver Broncos receivers are a young and talented bunch. Aside from Emmanuel Sanders, all of the team’s wideouts are 25-years old or younger.
Crazy, right?
One of those receivers is Tim Patrick. Patrick became a member of the Denver Broncos in 2018 and played every game for the team during that season. He was a college free agent in 2017 and signed with the Baltimore Ravens before making a short trip to San Francisco, and then finding a home in Denver.
Patrick is the type of wide receiver that can go up (“climb the ladder” if you will) to make spectacular catches. Check out this awesome play, a pass to Patrick from quarterback Chad Kelly against the Chicago Bears in the preseason:

Patrick’s catch radius is phenomenal. If/when there are passes thrown his way that are a little off target, don’t be surprised if he makes a spectacular catch.
Patrick will fight for a roster spot during training camp but it feels as if (at least to me) that he is going to make the team.
The Broncos have the following receivers on the roster: Emmanuel Sanders, Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, River Cracraft, Patrick, Juwann Winfree (rookie draft pick), Brendan Langley, Kelvin McKnight, Aaron Burbridge, Romell Gurrier, and Trinity Benson.
Assuming the first three guys I listed are safe, that leaves two or three more roster spots left for wide receivers.
Langley was a cornerback for the Broncos before making the switch to receiver but he played receiver in college, so he knows what he’s doing and has a chance.
I strongly feel like Patrick’s catch radius is far too important to give up on. In 2018, Patrick recorded 23 receptions for 315 yards and one touchdown. With more experience, he should top those numbers by quite a bit.
No, I’m not talking numbers that lead the team. But he should contribute enough to where people start to realize who this guy is.
Don’t forget about Tim Patrick.
