Peyton Manning paid Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller a very high compliment in an article on the team’s official website.

Peyton Manning and Von Miller made some great memories together with the Denver Broncos.

In 2012, Miller’s second NFL season and Manning’s first in Denver, the Broncos put together one of the most complete seasons in team history, finishing with both a top five offense and top five defense before a shocking playoff loss.

In 2015, the two stood on the podium together as game MVP Miller and the Denver defense dominated the Carolina Panthers and Manning rode off into the sunset an NFL champion.

Their time together feels short now, but it was a great era of Broncos football and so good, in fact, it has changed the way Manning watches the game.

Literally.

Manning paid Miller an extremely high compliment in a recent article on DenverBroncos.com where Manning outlined the players he loves to watch play and the players he’s watched through the years.

Miller is truly a rare athlete and a player Broncos fans should not currently be taking for granted.

I don’t think many — if any of us — do.

Truly a one-of-a-kind player off the edge, Miller is one of the rarest combinations of speed, power, and instincts at the position. Miller has such a well-rounded game and he’s consistently gotten better and better throughout his career.

It’s no wonder he was named Super Bowl MVP in 2015, and he really could have been named NFL Playoffs MVP if there was an award for that. His run at the end of the 2015 season paired with a healthy and fully operational DeMarcus Ware is unlike anything I have ever seen as a fan.

It was like you had confidence the Broncos could score at any time on defense or take the ball away on any play, like a power hitter who is locked in at the plate in baseball or a basketball player who seemingly can’t miss.

That’s the transcendental talent Manning is alluding to. He played in the NFL for a really long time and with some exceptional players, so make no mistake about it — when he says something like this, it’s a huge deal.
