Who are the top-10 players on the Denver Broncos?

7. Bradley Chubb, EDGE

When linebacker Bradley Chubb fell to the Denver Broncos at the fifth overall pick in the 2018 draft, everybody was excited.

After playing just five games in his freshman season at NC State, and accumulating zero sacks, Chubb went off and recorded 25 during his final three collegiate seasons.

It was expected that Chubb would be off the board by the fifth pick and that the Broncos would be in line to select Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward. Ward ended up being picked by the Cleveland Browns one pick before the Broncos’ selection, giving Denver Chubb.

Let me tell you, it worked out just tremendously. Chubb was awesome as a rookie. He recorded 12 sacks while on the other side of all-pro pass rusher Von Miller.

12 sacks in a rookie season? That is excellent. I fully expect Chubb to add onto his young career by following up with an even better second season. The fact that he is placed in a defense such as Vic Fangio’s is scary. Scary good.

Fangio is going to know how to use Chubb to the best of his abilities due to his defensive résumé.

Now, I would put Chubb higher on this list but I would love to see what he does in his second year. We should get an even better player. Maybe next year he will be top three on the team.

I could even see Chubb getting the league’s Defensive Player of the Year award sometime down the road.
