After tearing his ACL back in the beginning of the 2018 season, Denver Broncos tight end Jake Butt says he will be ready for training camp.

The tight end position for the Denver Broncos will be getting more interesting for the 2019 season. Jake Butt, who tore his ACL in practice early last season, says he will be ready to go once the Denver Broncos begin training camp in a little less than a month.

According to Nicki Jhabvala from The Athletic, the plan for Butt is to ease him into training camp at the start, which makes sense since he is coming off a major surgery.

Having Jake Butt back in training camp will make the tight end battles very interesting this summer. As Broncos Country knows, Denver drafted the former Michigan Wolverine in the 2017 NFL Draft in the fifth round. Before his ACL injury in his final collegian game, he was projected to be one of the first names to be off the draft boards.

The injury forced him to slip all the way to the fifth round, where the Broncos took their chances. So far in his Broncos career, he has played in three games, recording eight receptions for 85 yards. But while preparing for the Kansas City Chiefs in Week Four, Butt suffered another ACL tear in a non contact drill, forcing him out of the remainder of the season.

The 2019 season will be a make it or break it year for Jake Butt. Hopefully he will be able to contribute a bit more after a lengthy recovery. With Noah Fant, Jeff Heuerman, and Troy Fumagalli in the room, there will be no room for error.

But we will not know much until it begins, but one thing is for certain is that I am really rooting for Jake Butt to make an impact for the Denver Broncos offense in 2019.
