The Rest

Aaron Wallace
Age: 25
2019 salary cap hit: $645,000
Years under contract: 2

I’m telling you right now — don’t sleep on this guy.

Although Wallace wasn’t able to quite put it together consistently with the Titans, he was good enough to stick on their roster for a couple of years and if Broncos fans remember, he was part of the Titans’ win over the Broncos in the 2016 season, a loss for Denver that ultimately was the difference between making the playoffs and sitting at home.

This guy has exceptional athletic ability (4.57 in the 40, 36-inch vertical) and strength (25 bench reps). You never know what can happen as players like this continue to develop and understand the nuance of the game.

Malik Reed
Age: 22
2019 salary cap hit: $500,000
Years under contract: 3

Among the Broncos’ undrafted free agents in 2019, Malik Reed may be the most intriguing.

He has played all over the place at Nevada, quite literally. He lined up for them as a defensive end, standup outside linebacker, off-ball linebacker, and pretty much everything in between.

And he played all of those positions quite well.

Reed was a player who consistently drew attention from those in attendance at Broncos OTAs. He will be fun to watch when the pads come on in training camp.

Ahmad Gooden
Age: 23
2019 salary cap hit: $495,666
Years under contract: 3

Gooden is a rookie undrafted free agent out of Samford who was an All-Conference selection last year when he had 15 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and 14 QB hits.

The Broncos are turning him from a college defensive end to a stand-up linebacker, so he will have to prove he can make that change, but he lived behind the line of scrimmage in college.

He’s yet another intriguing player off the edge for Denver.
