Bradley Chubb

Age: 23 (as of June 24)
2019 salary cap hit: $6.198 million
Years under contract: 3 (4 with team option)

Overshadowed by Von Miller, Bradley Chubb is truly a budding superstar in his own right.

Up there on the same level of prospect as guys like Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa coming out of North Carolina State, the Broncos can’t believe their luck that this kid was on the board when they picked fifth overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Chubb is probably not quite a transcendent talent like Von Miller was coming out of Texas A&M, but he’s a blue-chip talent and a player you could build a defense around, in my opinion.

In case you were wondering, the play I chose above was one of a few that resulted in the Bengals drafting an offensive tackle with their top draft choice in 2019.

Chubb racked up 12 sacks and two forced fumbles in his rookie season with the Broncos and wasn’t just on Miller’s clean up duty, either.

Chubb is a big-time playmaker off the edge and his skillset is growing. Vic Fangio thinks he was ‘tailor made’ for this defense.

If that doesn’t get you excited for this guy’s second NFL season, I don’t know what will.
